  • On-call: I go on call at the signing of the contract, I make every effort to be available to you because baby’s come when they want to! If I am unavailable, I  have  experienced back up doulas to assist you till I can attend or she will stay for your whole birth if I not able to be there.
  • Pre-Natal Visit: One prenatal visit lasting up to two hours long to assess your needs and desires for your birth, define and understand our expectations of one another, and provide you with useful tools for labor and birth.
  • Birth Planning: Birth plan assistance to help you clarify your preferences for birth and explain the options that are available to you. We will discuss the risks and benefits of many routine interventions and help you create a birth plan that’s right for you.
  • Prenatal Support: Continuous emotional and informational support by phone, text or email for you and your partner for the duration of pregnancy, birth, and initial postpartum period.
  • Your birth: When early labor begins, we will be in constant contact by phone and or text. I’ll join you when you are ready for my physical support during your labor. I will be by your side till up to two hours after the birth of your baby.
  • Postpartum: We will continue to be in contact during your early postpartum days One postpartum follow-up visit to celebrate the birth of your baby and answer any questions you have during the early postpartum period. I will also teach you a tummy massage that you can do daily to help promote bonding, and provide gas and colic relief.
  • Phone and Email Support: Unlimited phone and e-mail support to answer your questions, along with suggestions, supporting you throughout your pregnancy and early labor.
  • Birth Photography: All of my clients will receive edited photos I am able to capture when physical support isn’t needed by me. I will put together a beautiful, birth story slide-show set to music of the photos I capture at your birth. This service is included in my fee because I can not guarantee how many photos I will be able to capture. If having both doula support and birth photography are big priorities to you, I have trusted birth photographers I will be happy to refer to you.

Limitations of Care

As a birth doula, I do not:

  • Perform clinical tasks or exams, such as blood pressure, fetal heart checks and others.
  • Make decisions for you. I will help you get the information necessary to make informed decisions. I will also remind you if there is a departure from your Birth Plan.
  • Speak to the staff instead of you regarding matters where decisions are being made. I will discuss your concerns with you and suggest options, but you or your partner will speak on your behalf to the clinical staff.
